Rishi Sunak.

The one time prime minister Rishi Sunak, was interviewed by Alice Thomson for this week’s The Times Magazine and it makes an interesting read. He is clearly very disappointed in the way his premiership worked out and has a number of regrets about his time in office. In  particular, is angry with himself for leaving the D-Day celebrations too early, for which he got a - big political kicking. He still has a strong connection to his constituency in Yorkshire at Richmond, where he has a substantial majority. His two daughters love the countryside around where they live and are members of a local pony club, which they enjoy. He is conscious of how lucky he is being married to a billionaires and sees - wealth as the biggest social divide and not class. Being someone from an immigrant background, he is aware of how fortunate he has been living in a country - where his racial background wasn’t seen as an issue - when he became prime minister. What other country could do this, without comment? So what about the future? Will he stay around long enough - to see the Conservatives back in power? Let’s wait and see?
