Still going strong.

There are six residents in a care home in Kent that are over 100 years old and between them they have 17 children and innumerable grandchildren and great grandchildren. So what’s keeping them going? Strong family connections, friendships, being sociable, having and keeping interest alive, a glass of wine or whiskey or gin on a daily basis. Being physically active as much as possible and not spending - all day in a chair rotting and watching television. Having a purpose in your life - “you don’t get this far unless you want to keep going”. One happy resident said. The home in Herne Bay in Kent - is a lively place, where being old isn’t seen as a handicap - and there are various classes and clubs to belong to.
