The election on Thursday in Caerphilly, was an interesting result for Plaid Cmyru, who came top ahead of Reform, Labour and the Conservatives on only 2 per cent vote. Generally speaking across Wales, there is between 20 per cent to 40 per cent - who are wanting complete independence from Westminster and control of their budgets and all domestic legislation. So on Thursday, this was the - dog that didn’t bark. It’s the notorious - third rail of devolved government and could spell the end of Labour in the principality. Labour are increasingly toxic in Wales and Westminster is considered - beyond the pale.
