Can the Sussexes survive another year?

There is an interesting article in this week’s Spectator magazine by Julie Burchill, about the likelihood of the Harry and Meghan double act could implode. They seem to have lost their way and are floundering around. Are they - waving or drowning? They talk about the importance of the environment, but this year they have managed to clock up a staggering 82,000 miles and that doesn’t include internal travel once inside the country. They both look increasingly lost. Harry has a programme on Netflix about Polo out next week. Meghan, has a cooking show out soon. Tina Brown, of Vanity Fair fame said of her recently “the trouble with Meghan, is that she has the worst judgment of anyone in the entire world. She is flawless about getting all wrong”. Moreover the acting career is as dead as the proverbial Dodo.

Can their marriage survive? A marriage can survive loathing, but not contempt. Will 2025 be any different? I don’t think so. As a retired family and couple psychotherapist - I give it two years max, before Harry comes back to Blighty. He will then settle down in the Cotswold area with a - traditional English rose and live happily ever after - without the albatross Meghan. She on the other hand - will continue with a variety of vacuous projects that always lead to a cul de sac. What an Eton mess.
