Damage limitation.

 The Huw Edwards, fiasco regarding sexually explicit videos and pictures of sexual exploitation and abuse of children - has caused the BBC lasting damage. He was in Westminster Magistrates Court on Monday for sentencing. He was given a six month suspended sentence for one year and placed on the Sex Abuse Register for life. Many across the country are astonished at - such a limp punishment for a well known and eminent public figure. The BBC will take many years to recover the confidence of the British public. I've never liked Edwards, always smug, arrogant and supercilious - he was the epitome of self satisfaction and hubris. However behind this persona was hiding a sexual pervert - who has brought himself and  BBC lasting damage. The director general Tim Davey, will try the limit the damage to the reputation of the national broadcaster.
