 The leader of the Labour Party Sir Keir Starmer, has foolishly and unwisely decided to fight Diane Abbott - regarding standing as an MP - at the forthcoming general election. Many years ago the former president of the United States president Lyndon B Johnson (LBJ) sagaciously said "it's best to have them inside the tent pissing out, than on the outside pissing in". Starmer has forgotten this good advice and will as - night follows day regret this decision. Abbott is an iconic black politician and the first women of colour admitted to parliament. She is loved by her constituents in Hackney North and Stoke Newington and has been their MP for 37 years.They will given the chance re-elected her with a big majority. Starmer cannot afford this stupid and unnecessary infighting and it will damage the party.
