Where did it come from?

 The attempts to find the cause of the Covid out break in January 2020 have not been successful. Animal market, lab leak or some other mechanism, have not found the answer. In The Times today there is an interesting article about the various arguments. To start with there has been endless speculation that it originated in a research laboratory in Wuhan, China. Nevertheless there has been no direct causal association. Moreover if it did come from there - the Chinese scientists and government would have made sure the link was destroyed. Market spill over - has also been dismissed as the probable cause - as there is no direct causal correlation. Perhaps many years from now - a scientist will admit it came from a laboratory, but that's some time off? In the mean time we are still in the dark. However we all know at some point in the future - another pandemic will arrive and perhaps cause even more death and destruction. God help us.
