Not a homogenous group.

When it comes to politics in Britain today, there isn't a - one size fits all. We must interrogate more critically the voting intentions of different ethnic minorities, and not assume a homogenous attitude. Muslims are generally thought to be more likely to vote Labour, but is that the case for second generation Muslims? Some think the Hindus have a preference for the Conservatives, but is that always the case? Moreover, Muslims from different countries of origin will have widely different attitudes to things like homosexuality or same sex marriages. We also need the consider how the white population will vote - will differ when it comes to class, education and where they live. All these variables make assuming voting intentions - as a far more complex conundrum than hitherto thought. We are not one homogenous nation, but a very diverse and interesting heterogeneous nation.
