Tonight on BBC Four there was the annual concert from Vienna and there was not one black face, either in the orchestra or audience. How very strange, when you compare that to the audience in London or other major city in the UK. There might not be a large number of black faces, but it's very unlikely to have none at all. Who would want to live in a city - where such obvious segregation applies? Today in the polyglot mixing pot, variety is the spice of life. I prefer variety - to the dead hand of sterile whiteness. Thank god for London and other cities.
