Much to the collective chagrin of the Parisian restaurant business, London has been declared, as the best place to find fine food. According to The Times today this is now the case and has been so for a number of years. Some of the most eminent chefs, who are also renowned French ones have said quite explicitly that London is the leader. The famous Alain Ducasse, no less who has a restaurant at the famous Dorchester Hotel in Park Lane said recently "London is the city of the world. It's about cultural diversity in gastronomy. You can eat good food in the capital at the very top level". Another French chef of outstanding pedigree Joel Robuchon, who had some 30 Michelin stars to his name said "London is very possibility the gastronomic capital of the world. Why? Because it's only in London that you find every conceivable style of cooking - to innovate cuisine at its best". What more is there to say other than bon appetite?
