This radio programme on BBC Sounds is just what the broadcaster is for. Its in true Reithian tradition to - inform, educate and entertain. After being the chairman for the duration of the show for 27 years the redouble Lord Melvyn Bragg, now 86 is standing down. The new chair is Misha Glenny at 67 is taking over from Thursday. Fortunately we have a collection of the In Our Time as a podcast, which I greatly enjoyed dipping into from time to time and listening to Melvyn doing his best to - keep order. It won’t be an easy slot to follow Bragg - as he did an excellent job, but Glenny is an accomplished journalist and will do very well I’m sure. I look forward to listening to the show on Thursday.
