The host of the show is the musicologist Humphrey Berkeley- and he does an excellent job that is insightful and illuminating. This week it was the prime minister Sir Keir Starmer - who had a musical education when young at the Guildhall Hall of Music and Drama, and he was an - accomplished flautist. He clearly knows at lot about music and his choice - gave us an insight into his - private Passion for especially classical music: Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, Shostakovich and others. The last composer was important to Starmer, as his younger brother Nick, died on Boxing Day last year. He was evidently close to him and they shared a bedroom together in the small family home in Oxted, in Surrey on the outskirts of London. So listening to this particular music - brings back memories of Nick. If you want to understand the prime minister, there is no better place to start?
