The organisation is now - like a headless chicken and clearly lost any sense of purpose and direction. Fallen on his sword Tim Davie - has resigned as well as the head of BBC News Deborah Turness. I said in my blog on 4 November - that the director general of the BBC - Tim Davie should either resign or be sacked from his position - as he had lost all credibility. The BBC Panorama programme that was broadcast last year had spliced together two different parts of the same speech, that made it appear as a natural sequence. Not separated in time. They say that - rot starts from the head - and so with this disgraceful episode with the BBC. If we are unable to trust absolutely what the organisation says on essentially sensitive political issues - then we are in a seriously dangerous position? For the time being this draws a line under the debacle, but the vultures haven’t gone away and the BBC - is on probation and must up it’s game. Tim Davie has gone, but this isn’t the end of the story.
