It’s becoming increasingly obvious that Trump is trying to blackmail president Zelensky about the ongoing war in Ukraine. It appears the Trump is being more supportive of Putin and is putting pressure on Zelensky to - do a deal. On the other hand European leaders are dismayed by the stance adopted by the Trump administration - towards Ukraine. They are adamant they must be involved in the peace negotiations. There is little trust between the protagonist in this war of attrition. It’s been a bloody nightmare for the people of Ukraine in this - unprecedented attack by Putin.
