After the divorce almost 500 years ago.

I watched on BBC News the unfolding events in Rome. King Charles met Pope Leo XIV in the Cistern Chapel in the Vatican. This is truly a momentous and historic moment for the  - Church of England and the Catholic Church. It’s was a divorce initiated by Henry VIII in 1534 - so the two heads of their respective faiths - were able to come together in common prayer. In the obvious splendour of the Cistern Chapel, where frescoes on the ceiling were painted by Michelangelo he lived between (1475-1564) and painted (1508-1512). So a day to be remember, for anyone interested in church history.
