The National Trust.

I’ve been a volunteer at various National Trust properties, close to where I live in Sevenoaks - including the home of Churchill at Chartwell. The home of General Woolfe at Quebec House, Westerham and more recently at Knole House in Sevenoaks, the ancestral home of the Sackville-West family. All are in the garden of England, Kent. Today as the weather was so good - I decided to pop over to the beautiful Emmetts Garden, which is about 5 miles from me. As it’s the start of the school Easter holiday it was very crowded. Nevertheless it was still a delight. At the end of the month and early May, there is the heavenly sight of thousands of bluebells and tulips. How fortunate we are to have the National Trust as a custodian of so many properties, gardens and landscapes across the country.
