It’s becoming increasingly uncomfortable and unpleasant the - quantity of tourists in London and many other popular places. The city of Amsterdam is the latest to call - a halt on the ever increasing numbers. I was last week at the British Museum and the numbers were - exhausting and depressing. It’s now impossible to enjoy an exhibition, especially if it’s regarded as popular and has had good reviews. When I worked as a volunteer for ten years at The Royal Academy - it was noticeable how the numbers - increased over that period. This was particularly true of people coming from India, China and Japan. Moreover the numbers have increased since the Covid pandemic of 2020 - when it wasn’t possible to travel internationally. There is a small village close to where I live in Kent and over the summer months the place is a tourist trap. It’s impossible to find anywhere to park or find a place in a pub. How many is - too many?
