The changing of the tide.

 When Trump, becomes president on 20 January 2025 - he has said that there will be a change in ‘illegal immigration policy’. There are an estimated 10 million undocumented immigrants in the country and the intention is to have them incarcerated into camps, pending deportation. In Germany there is a similar change from when Angela Merkel, the chancellor said in 2015 “we can do it”. When over a million refugees were let in. A dramatic example of a volte-face that the German people have witnesses in recent years. Across the EU the uniform policy of - open borders - is similarly under stress from member states. In Britain the Starmer, government are facing serious head winds on illegal migration, especially from across the Channel. The referendum in 2016 was essentially about taking - back control of illegal migration. Unless the government can demonstrate by the time of the next election in 5 years time they have - taken back control - then it’s good night Vienna for Labour.
