One issue that has caused particular angst was that of - illegal immigration into the US - specially from Mexico. Over recent years there has been an estimated 10 million undocumented immigrants that have crossed the border. For many Americans this was unacceptable and an affront. Legal immigration wasn’t an issue, but this illegal traffic was. Why didn’t the Biden administration take action against this illegal traffic? There are now many across the country - who entered illegally - are very concerned today. What will happen to them? Some will have had children, born in America and only know the country as home. Are they all to be sent back? What about those who have left their countries to escape war, corruption and crime? Those who have been raped and threatened - what happens to them? Moreover - will there be large encampments to imprison them - before they are sent back? How long will this all take? This is a nightmare scenario for Trump, to solve.
