The fat is in the fire in the Middle East. Israel has responded with fire power against it's enemy Lebanon. Iran has a - dog in the fight - and there are serious fears of a wider conflict. We are approaching the anniversary of the 6 October invasion by Hamas into Israel at the Erez crossing. What is the end game, through the - fog of war? What is the long term aim of Israel and Hamas? Eventually there will be a settlement, but what happens before then? More tragedy and suffering for this benighted region. How very depressing.
