Bowing out.

There are few journalist jobs more influential than editor of The Spectator magazine - often referred to as the Conservative Party - in house journal. And for the last few years that role has been occupied by the redoubtable - Fraser Nelson, he has done a sterling and professional editorship with elan and panache. Moreover he has been a mentor and has encouraged - new men and women in the profession. It's notoriously a - dog eat dog - world, but not him. He gave sagacious and wise advice and wasn't afraid to attack accepted opinion and shabboleths. Michael Gove, now takes the reins and Nelson, moves onto be associate editor. Gove, will find his predecessor a - difficult act to follow.
