Today in the Spectator magazine the polymath economic historian Niall Ferguson, come out strongly for Kemi Badenoch. He suggests that she is - cut from the same revolutionary cloth as Thatcher. Moreover he thinks she has the necessary determination to change the out dated Conservative Party. He thinks she also has intellectual rigour on her side - she studied computer systems engineering at Sussex university. Robert Jenrick, on the other hand - is more of the same. A white middle class politician - with no hinterland. Will she get the role of challenging Keir Starmer, across dispatch box? It will be interesting to have the first black leader who's family are originally from Nigeria. What will Nigel Farage, and his Reform party make of this? We will know the results of the election on Saturday 2 November.
