Reliving Watergate and its political consequences.

If like me you lived through the Watergate scandal and resignation of Richard Nixon, president of the United States? This brilliant documentary series on iPlayer - the farrago of lies and criminality: Watergate. The five part programme was first produced in 1994 is a tour de force of investigative journalism. Nixon eventually  resigns and left office at noon on 9 August 1974. The vice president Gerald Ford, then took over the presidency. Richard Nixon, was pardoned by Ford, a month later. Nixon a few years on was interviewed by David Frost, that had an enormous audience worldwide. It was also made into a compelling drama by Peter  Morgan, in 2006. This episode in contemporary America history has a resonance today with the sculduggery surrounding Trump.  This series is highly recommended.
