What a stink.

 According to The Guardian newspaper today, there were an astonishing 3.6 million raw sewage discharges into our rivers a seas in 2023. It's now axiomatic that water companies across the country don't give a dam and are giving the - two fingers to all of us. They in turn have made outstanding profits and have given them up to share holds and big pay cheques to the bosses. The companies were taken out of public ownership many years ago, and we now have unaccountable bureaucratic nightmare to try and get this sorted out. Moreover, those who like - fresh water swimming or going for a dip in the sea (like my daughter) are risking their health for this pollution. There is a systemic failure of this government to sort this out over the last 14 years. They will be severely punished at the ballot box at the general election.
