Prince Harry.
In The Daily Telegraph today Prince Harry has told of his distress and depression following the death of his mother back in August 1997. For many years he bottled things up and the consequence was extreme anger and unhappiness. Thankfully he went to see a therapist to help him through the ordeal. As someone who worked in child and adult psychiatry in the NHS and in private practice as an psychoanalytic-psychotherapist I can fully appreciate the difficulties he must have had. His openness about the death of Diana, Princess of Wales must be applauded and may help others with similar distress. The charity Heads Together he and his brother and Catherine Duchess of Cambridge have started is an attempt to address the issue of depression.
