The latest TV phenomena.

Watching TV has never been like this before. Two hours of peace and quiet on the Avon and Kennet canal from Bath to the famous Dundas Aqueduct going along at a steady 4 mph. The whole thing was hypnotic and engrossing. The English countryside looking a picture in early Spring sunshine. Its all apparently the latest craze on TV. The night before we had an hour of the dawn chorus. Another programme was about a chap glass blowing and another of a metal worker making a very large knife. All this on BBC 4 this last week. Given how busy we all are rushing from one thing to the other, taking time out in this way is delightful. I just sat there relaxing and watched - drinking a nice cup of Lapsang Souchong - as if I was in the brow of the barge. Lets have more of this please BBC!
