Disgusted of Tunbridge Wells!

There is a new type of unhappiness - hitting the English Squirearchy across the land. Do you have a Waitrose in your town or will you be getting one any time soon? This is the new code of class deprivation. I therefore read with incredulity the story in The Times that the good folk of Tunbridge Wells were up in arms - so to speak with bourgeois indignation! They did't have such a fabulous store close to them, they had to travel in their - posh cars and 4 by 4 to there down at heel neighbour - Tonbridge - god forbid! Until now, TW residents have looked down their Roman like noses at Tonbridge but not any longer. Very close friends of mine when they moved about three years ago from W1 to the City of London, first checked there was a Waitrose within walking distance - thankfully there was. There son is in deprived Cornwall where a Waitrose  is rarer than - hens teeth. We in Sevenoaks on the other hand have a smart new store and another is planned in a couple of years time - so up yours TW!
