It may not be the African savanna, but it still looks good.
Talking about the weather in Britain is one of our national pastimes. As the seasons come and go there is such a variety of different experiences. Most mornings I listen to Farming Today on Radio 4, but almost never hear a happy farmer. Its always the wrong type of weather. Somewhat like a fisherman complaining about how rough the sea is. I think there in the wrong business. So last night on BBC1 it was a delight to watch Britain is all its glory in The Great British Year. The Natural History unit pulled our all the stops and what a show it was. They are showing all four seasons over the next few weeks, last night it was winter. We had red kites following the tractor in Oxfordshire, in Essex filmed at night using a thermal camera a number of hares and a fox on the prowl looking for food, with a badger doing the same. A very busy red squirrel taking care of its nuts, and hiding them safely. Despite being over looked by nosy neighbours. As I have mentioned before I live a very beautiful part of Kent and enjoy its endless delights. I'm about to go for a walk from Otford to Shoreham and a drink in the Ye Olde George Inne. How very pleasant.
