The men's Triathlon is unbelievably demanding and was won in the most extraordinary way. At one point Hayden Wilde, from New Zealand was 14 seconds ahead, but all of a sudden the British runner - Alex Yee, was on his shoulders then shot past and won gold. Where did he find the grit and energy?
Another wonderful and inspiring race was the - women's rowing Quadruple Sculls, where we again won gold. However the back story is amazing. Lola Anderson, some years ago wrote on a piece of paper - she would like to represent Britain at the Olympics. She threw the paper into a bin, but her father took it out and kept it. Some years later he gave her back the note. He died only recently. Today she won with her other rowing friends a gold medal. What a story that inspire and uplift us all.
