As a perversion of Islam this brutal act of execution against a defenseless David Haines is a heinous crime. We know these fantastically Islamist are defending their faith as they see it, but they have been roundly condemn by that very same faith. For their part IS see them as 'no Islamic' and betrayers of the truth.Which ever way you look at it this is psychotic and mad act by a malevolent group of psychopaths. Should those who want to 'repent' and come back to the UK be allowed to do so? If they can be assessed as having given up their misguided ways - then their knowledge of IS will be invaluable to the security services.
However the life of the parents of David Haines have been brutally destroyed by the news of their sons callous murder. He went the Perth Academy and his parents live in Ayr. Will this have an impact on the referendum on Thursday? I think it will as our brothers and sisters in Scotland are also fighting the same international threat of terrorism. It can also be blighted on Scotland - nowhere is now immune from this virus,
