Scotch of the rocks.

As someone who from time to time likes a wee dram of the golden stuff - known north of the boarder as aqua vitae the forthcoming date with destiny is on Thursday. This day could spell the end of one of Scotland's major industries employing over 30,000 skilled people, distributors, advertisers etc. Since 2004 its grown into a multi-billion product from £2.42 to £4.24 in 2013. There are many in the Scotch Whisky Association that are worried about their top exporting country the US will be detrimentally effected. The reason the EU. The answer to the question - how long will Scotland have to wait in the queue of other nations wanting a place in the European Union? Salmond has not been able to answer this fundamental question. Bluster and obfuscation is not an answer. In addition the new emerging countries of the Brics are also concerned about this issue. Brizil, Russia, India China and South Africa are very important markets that enjoy Scotch and want more of it. Britain presently supports the industry and gives help and backing by having over 200 embassies and delegations across the world. Scotland would have to start from scratch.
So if you like a wee dram of pure malt Whisky and want to save a great product that only is and can be produced in Scotland vote NO on Thursday and enjoy a glass of Glenfiddich on me
