Its 13 years since 9/11.

I was working with patients in my private practice in north London when one came in and said "have you heard the news"? She then told me of the tragedy unfolding in new York that day. We went into my sitting room and then for the next 50 minutes watched it together in disbelief. I had friends in that city as did my patient. We both tried to make contact but without success, our fears were raised. From then on and for the rest of the day it was difficult to concentrate of anything else other than this event. We all know that George W. Bush and Tony Blair decided to wage a 'war on terror' that culminated in the illegal invasion of Iraq in March 2003. Since that date we have had nothing but terrorism in various shades now its Islamic States (IS). What next? Obama said last night in a television broadcast to the nation that he would take the 'fight against IS and degrade their ability and if necessary shot at them is Syria'. So the war continues until we are safe in our beds at night and don't have to worry any longer about terrorists in one form or another.
