Imprisoned for watching men playing volleyball - how nuts is that?

A British women aged 25 went back to Iran and thought it would be a good idea to watch with friends a game of volleyball played my men. So far so innocence, but not so for the Iranian 'thought police' they decide to lock her up in solitary confinement for watching theses chaps. Perhaps they thought she might get sexually aroused and excited by seeing these sweaty young fit men and that would not do at all? How bloody nuts is that? What is wrong with these people? Thank god I don't live in Iran or other similar country - with such regressive and oppressive political Nazi like regime.
