Mental health and those emails.
The Daimler car company in Stuttgart have come up with a novel idea - they have produced an App that will either delete the emails or send in to a colleague to answer while your soaking up the sun in Capri or Greece, and making sure you have the best place next to the pool. So when you get back to work the In Box is empty. What a great idea - they believe that when their staff are on holiday - they are on 'holiday' and should not be be checking those pesky emails on their smartphones each few minutes. Sam Cameron has complained that the PM is always checking if Obama or Putin still loves him or not? Who cares? Apparently the productivity of those who return after a proper break are 'rearing to go' productivity has shot up! So why don't we try this in Blighty? We unfortunately are addicted like the heroin addict to the lasted 'fix' from the smartphone. How can we cope without having a little 'sneak look' when the wife or girlfriend are out with the kids or shopping in Harrods or Harvey Nicks? Daimler are so worried about 'digital overload' and the stress and mental health problems this is causing to their workforce ever since the advent of all this devices. We cannot get off the 'treed mill' we are like the proverbial Sisyphus. Some even check their smartphones while having sex. How about that for coitus interruptus? In Germany there is now a programme of 'detoxification' for this addiction. - Sam Cameron please note.
