Another religious tragedy unfolding in the Middle East.

This time its the relatively small group of some 50,000 believers known as the Yazidis who have escaped their imminent slaughter and gone to the mountains of north west Iraq to get away from the Islamic State (IS) that is bent of killing them off as they are perceived as 'heretics'. President Obama has decided to send in the the planes and bomb the IS forces in northern Iraq. This unstable political situation in that country has led to the present instability. There are many 'sectarian religious' conflicts still in Iraq with one group of believers killing another. How has it come to this sorry state of affairs? The Shia killing the Sunni and so the endless cycle continues. There appears to be no rational answer - if one group is perceived as the winner - this inevitably leads to the other sect crying 'fowl'. We need the wisdom of Solomon to help us in this apparently impossible conundrum. Will this conflict led to and even bigger crisis than we have at present in all these countries starting with: Israel, Gaza, Syria, Iraq, Iran and Lebanon.
What a mess almost 100 years after the map was redrawn with new 'artificial boarders' following the fall of the Ottoman Empire in 1918.
