It’s becoming increasingly obvious the relationship between a Trump’s America and Europe, including Britain - isn’t working. The case of the ‘ownership’ of Greenland is an obvious example of this breakdown. He has promised tariffs of 10% on goods from Europe by 1February - if there is no agreement by then. Is this the way to treat your friends and allies? It appears that Trump has a ‘bee in his bonnet’ about Greenland and is determined to have it. Is he bluffing or is this maniacal president serious? We are caught like - piggy in the middle - so the policy of Starmer of being supine to Trump isn’t paying off - in this failing relationship.
