Crisis, what crisis?

These words were attributed to the then prime minister James Calllaghan ( 1976-1979) on his return from a summit in Guadeloupe in January 1979. The backdrop was called the Winter if Discontent - where the trade unions across the country were holding the government to ransom. Bodies were not being buried, streets were covered in rubbish and the country was in decline. Only a few months later Margaret Thatched, came to power. It was one of those points in history, when a - tipping point occurred and history changed. Are we at such a point now where the balance of power is shifting to the right in British politics, to a new landscape - where Reform is in power?
