The so called - one in one out scheme is in turmoil.

According to the latest data about 37,000 have crossed the English Channel this year and entered the country illegally and under the new scheme 42 have been sent back to France. Apparently one illegal migrant entered Britain and was picked up by the Boarder Force in the channel. He was then sent back to France, under the new scheme. Only to be caught again only a few days later trying to enter the UK illegally. He is now in detention, awaiting deportation again to France. Will he try again? This ridiculous scheme is complete nonsense and won’t act as a deterrent to any person trying to get to the country illegally. It’s a political - pipe dream of prime minister Starmer and the French president Macron. What a waste of tax payers money. Stronger measures are necessary to deter illegal migration.
