Our patron saint was Turkish.

According to the MP for York Outer, Luke Charters, our patron Saint - had “Turkish” roots. He was born there roughly 2,000 years ago and has become the patron saint of England and also a the patron saint of the ancient Order of the Garter, established in 1348 by Edward III, the King of England. Katie Lam, MP for the Weald of Kent, thinks that multiculturalism is a failure as is adamant that this country isn’t based on immigration. Her contention is that we must have a - common story and share common values, religious beliefs and cultural, a respect for the law and customs of the country and respect for the monarchy. These are the issues that underpins this society. And in her opinion too many recent immigrants don’t share these - basic assumption. Lam is often talked about as a possible future leader of the Conservative Party. Interestingly she herself is from a Jewish family background.
