28 Years Later.

This is the last in the trilogy of films by Danny Boyle and Alex Garland - about life post national disasters as this country is infected by some unknown disease that infects anyone having contact - with an infected person. It’s a dystopian view and Armageddon is just around the corner. There are just too many zombies and it’s rather repetitive and boring. However we are saved by the brilliant casting by Gail Stevens - who has our hero Alfie Williams as Spike - 12 putting is a stellar performance. Jodi Cromer as the mother, brings an intensity and empathy to her role. Ralph Finnes as the only doctor on the mainland is also excellent and convincing. He diagnosed the mother with terminal cancer and with only a few days to live. He reminds the boy Spike of the famous Latin saying momento mori remember you must die. This isn’t meant as a morbid thought, but an idea to - inspire us to do our best in this life as we must inevitably one day die. This is essentially the denouncement to the film. There is a superb soundtrack to the film that adds considerable complexity, drama and intensity to the movie. My score ⭐️⭐️⭐️.
