Diet and longevity.

 There is increasing evidence to suggest - a causal correlation between diet and a healthy lifestyle and diet. In The Times today there is an article about the recent research published in the journal Nature Medicine. Researchers studied 105,015 middle aged people from America for over 30 years and who were in their early fifties at the start of the study. Of the cohort only 9771 achieved what was termed -  healthy ageing. Rich in plant based foods, nuts and Mediterranean diet was seen as the sine qua non for longevity and - healthy ageing. In addition staying fit and mobile were also considered necessary as well as good relationships with friends and family. So take note all you middle aged people if you want a - good quality and healthy life in older age.
