 The latest research evidence suggests the reason for Stonehenge, is to celebrate the various parts of Britain. One of the largest stones was brought all the way from northern Scotland to Wiltshire, in southern England. Many hundreds of miles and at the time this was an engineering and logistics marvel. It’s now thought that this was to celebrate a - pact or reconciliation between the various parts of this ancient society. Britain of course wasn’t then an entity, but collection of - waring factions.
