Germany is closing its boarders.

 The government in Berlin under chancellor Olaf Schultz, is planning to close it's doarders to illegal immigrants. Stung by the recent polls and rise of the AfD - they are very concerned - that the elections across Germany next year will see a further rise in its popularity. These are difficult times for the European project of - ever closer union. As a consequence the Schengen Area - that allows for free movement across most countries in the EU - will be put on hold in Germany. The fact that a founder member is considering such a - totemic act is a mark of the serious crisis not only facing Germany but the EU generally. What a contrast to 2015 and Angela Merkel, with her stupid idea of allowing over 1 million illegal immigrants into Germany. What - you sow you reap.
