In most professional careers there is an upper age limit. The Labour Party - if it wins power will introduce an age limit for the House of Lords of 80. Judges in England and Wales, retire at 75. So should there be an upper limit for the most important political job, that of US president? Trump was 78 on Friday and Biden is 81 - neither have the memories and brightness for such an important role. How is it the case - that two old me are fighting to be President? It's absolutely bonkers! Is there no other younger politician in America able to do this important job? The world has gone mad.
Mind you, the Chinese Politburo used to be full of men in their 80s!
