Nordic Walking.

 I'm indebted to Dr Michael Moseley, for his BBC Sounds on Radio Four programme - Just One Thing. I had by chance listened to the one entitled Nordic Walking on April 25. He addressed the beneficial effects of this particular type of exercise. He enumerated them as: burning more calories, helping to ease back pain, improving heart health, lowering blood pressure, reducing weight, increased upper body strength and improved balance. What isn't to like about this? So as a direct consequence, I bought some walking stick a few days later and have now enjoyed the last two weeks of Nordic walking. I can testify to the beneficial effects of this exercise regime and method and would highly recommend it. I've already noticed increased stamina and increased enjoyment going for a walk - in addition it's more fun.
