It was Michael Cohen's time to enjoy the - line right - in court yesterday in the Trump trial. He gave a spirited performance - seeking to upstage Trump - not an easy task. The problem for the prosecution is the fact that Cohen doesn't have a good record when it comes to being candid. He was for a time the attorney for President Trump, and was the chap who gave Stormy Daniels, the $130,00 to keep quiet. The fear in the Trump camp was - this could derail his presidential chances before the election in November 2016. This is the touchstone issue in the case. Trump claims this - "never happened". However, what about the cheques that were signed by Trump? How does he account for them? The trial is slowly coming to an end and the jury will have to make an important decision - that could impact of his wish to be back in the White House. Having said this, his fan base is so faithful, it won't stop them voting for the Donald again.
