Living with the bear.

Having the Russian bear as a neighbour isn't a happy thought. This was spelt our clearly in a two part programme introduced by the indefatigable Katya Adler in Living Next Door to Putin, on BBC Two last night. She considered what life is like for countries including Poland, and the Baltic states. There is one particular country and that is Kaliningrad, that is part of the Russian Empire and acts as a link to mother Russia. Nevertheless despite the difficulties following the invasion of Ukraine, places like Estonia are making the best of it. They have been sending sauna units to the troops in Ukraine, so they can enjoy clean showers after the sauna. This makes the men very happy. Finland has a 800 mile boarder with Russia, so is always nervous. In the very far north we have Norway that is again trying to live with the bear. A brilliant two part programme.
