The death toll around Lahaina has now reached 93. The wildfire is the deadliest in the US for more the a centry. There has been much criticism of the local authorities, regarding the failure of the alarm systems, that were meant to warn local residents about the fires. Many have lost everything, including homes and employment. In addition there are the terrible burns that many have as well as the psychological scars. It will take many years for the residents to recover from this human and environment tragedy in Hawaii.
