Article 50.
Today after many months of waiting Article 50 will be triggered. This is the start of the formal process of leaving the EU. There is a time table of two years, that can be extended if the other 27 countries agree. No doubt there will be much sabre rattling initially, but eventually there will be an agreement. Watching these negotiating will be at times very tedious, but the future outside the EU in my opinion will be positive. In 1534 Henry VIII broke with Rome and set in train the Reformation in England. This is another form of break with Rome and we will look back on this day as a similar seismic historical event.
