Dolly, no not Dolly Parton - Dolly Saville.
Those who know Dolly Saville (98) at The Red Lion in Wendover, Buckinghamshire are not surprised by all the fuss. Dolly has been pulling pints and working at the pub since 1938. She started in the kitchen washing up but has progressed since then to having a bar name after her - Dolly's Bar. Many of the regulars say they only come because she is there, the oldest 'bar maid' in the country. She has lost count of the number of pints she has pulled and spilt. Seeing her on the BBC News was heart warming. The great great granddaughter was in the Red Lion celebrating her success. She hopes to carry on until she is at least 100 hoping to draw a pint for the Queen. Dolly has cut down her hours of late from six days a week to three. She says it 'keeps her young' she certainly looks young for 98. Long may she continue in a job she loves and in turn is loved.
